She is a Lesbian, She is a Lesbian Not (He is a Gay, He is a Gay Not)

Is she? Or is she not?

Being judgmental is in man's nature. It is a part of every type of personality recorded in the history of psychology. It starts in first impressions, up to criticisms. It is true that no judgmental person is always right. But how far can being judgmental go?

Looking for an article that would be in relation to my topic, I came across with an article, entitled "How to Tell if She's a Lesbian," by Kathy Belge. It gives some suggestions, by people who have had experiences, on how to know if a girl is a lesbian or not. Some of the suggestions include the following:

  • "look for the obvious signs like a marriage equality sticker on her car or a piece of rainbow jewelry"
  • "look for certain visual clues: like does she have short hair, or a Justin Bieber haircut? Does she dress like a tomboy or have a faux hawk? Sometimes lesbians do dress like tomboys or have short hair"
  • "by the ring she wears. There have been some jewelry companies who have tried to market rings or pendants so that lesbians could subtly identify one another"
  • "she tends to make eye contact and hold it a bit longer"
  • "Where you see the person can sometimes give you a clue if she’s a lesbian or no"
  • "Sometimes people will give you clues in their conversations"
  • "Get to Know Her"
She also included in her article that these tips don't apply to all women. That is why her last and very own suggestion says that you should get to know a person better by making friends with him or her.

Some people judge wrongly, some judge exaggeratedly, others judge correctly, but no one does not. We must not always trust our judgments. Making sure is always the best thing to do.
